Join AIR as a Research Associate with our Workforce Development program area, as we support the healthy, productive, and evolving workforce vital to the United States' economy and democracy. The Workforce Program Area (WPA) focuses on the full employment cycle in the U.S., including workforce readiness, recruitment, selection, performance management, occupational training and postsecondary education, and improving employment and life outcomes for all people, with special attention to underserved populations. Our team is passionate about improving workforce outcomes to expand economic opportunity.

Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Conduct literature reviews and contribute to evidence syntheses.
  • Coordinate or manage research study tasks, including developing and tracking project timelines, activities, and deliverables.
  • Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative data collection.
  • Clean, code, and analyze data using appropriate research methods and software.
  • Write documents, reports, briefs, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret findings.
  • Support new business and proposal development efforts.
  • Maintain relationships with partners.
  • Clearly communicate knowledge of the project purpose and objectives to clients.
Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR Master's Degree in Social Sciences.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative data collection.
  • Experience conducting analysis of workforce or human service agencies' client-centered services.
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis software.
  • Interest or experience in the public workforce system is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and independently.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
