As a Research Editor at Liminal, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high quality and consistency of our research deliverables. Reporting to the Director of Research, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and revising research reports and content, ensuring that each piece adheres to our established tone, style, and rigorous research standards. You will work closely with our research team to enhance clarity, coherence, and overall impact, helping to shape our thought leadership in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and financial crime compliance. This role requires a meticulous, detail-oriented individual with a passion for editing, a deep understanding of research processes, and the ability to uphold the integrity of our content. Content Review and Quality Assurance
    • Review, edit, and revise research reports and content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
    • Ensure that all research deliverables maintain a consistent tone and adhere to Liminal's style guidelines.
    • Collaborate with researchers to enhance the readability and impact of written content.
    • Maintain objective research rigor across all deliverables.
Editorial Standards and Guidelines
    • Develop and maintain editorial guidelines and best practices for the research team.
    • Provide constructive feedback to researchers and writers to improve content quality.
    • Ensure consistency in terminology, presentation, and formatting across all documents.
Industry Trends and Relevance
    • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate relevant developments into content editing and review processes.
Collaboration and Coordination
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
Research Frameworks and Methodologies
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of research frameworks and methodologies.
Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of proven experience in editing and proofreading research reports or technical documents.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, and style.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity, fraud prevention, financial crime compliance, or related fields is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
