Job Summary This position will assist the Senior Research Development Administrator and the HHS Associate Dean for Research and will provide support for administering research-related programming within the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS). Specifically, this position will: (1) oversee general administrative operations of the research team, including scheduling and questions related to research issues; (2) create detailed reports related to research-related programming and activities for the college; (3) serve as the operations manager for the HHS Research Registry, including providing trainings for users, conducting participant recruitment events, maintaining communication with system developers and managing the registry system; (4) manage and administer college-wide funding and award programs; and (5) organize and manage research-related events within the college.
Required: - Bachelor's degree (BS/BA)
- 1 year of experience in research administration or related experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, and a focus on superior customer service
- Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, planning, problem-solving, analytical, project management and customer service skills
- Must be able to manage a consistent workload in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to build working relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
- Must possess a learning orientation and ability to adapt to changing environments and regulations
- Personal computer and related software skills, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database, data inquiry, Internet, etc.
- Must be able to navigate across campus for frequent meetings
