Job Title: Research Scientist IVGrade: 27Salary: $5,090.45 - $6,074.20The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time position (2 hours/week, 5% of full-time effort) of Research Scientist IV. The ideal candidate will be establishing a pipeline for brain tissue clearing and spatial transcriptomics in the Systems Neuroscience Division. The candidate will be responsible for conducting research using mixed methods approaches across several studies and evaluation projects under the supervision and mentoring of experienced research staff and faculty.Duties and Responsibilities:Handling research rodentsConducting stereotactic surgeryClarifying postmortem brains using EDC-ClarityPerforming spatial transcriptomics experiments on clarified brainsImaging gene expression profiles using light sheet microscopyMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and five years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience, or Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience.Work Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032To Apply: Submit an application through our website at Please note only applications submitted through our website will be considered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
