  • Immunometabolism: Exploring how cells of the immune system use different fuels to power their ability to fight infection. Our goal is to understand how to manipulate metabolic pathways to enhance protective immunity to pathogens and cancer.
  • Cancer cell metabolism: Explore how metabolic pathways are reprogrammed to support cancer progression, with a particular focus on glucose and ketone body metabolism.
  • Dietary regulation of immunty: Understanding how different diets alter immune cell function and metabolism, and exploring how metabolic pathways are regulated in response to diet-induced changes to nutrient levels in the microenvironment.
  • Metabolomics: Developing new methods and approaches to study cellular metabolism at the molecular level using mass spectrometry.
In this role as a Research Scientist or Research, you will:
  • Provide exceptional scientific leadership and help drive projects forward
  • Design and execute experiments for lab projects
  • Mentor and train research trainees on experimental techniques and protocols
