Research Analyst - Smartphones and Connected Devices_USAAbout the JobCounterpoint is a fast-growing global industry analysis firm and has built its reputation as a trusted adviser in the high-tech industry. With a wide rangeof research being conducted at Counterpoint, we are constantly seeking the most talented people to help them become experts in each research domain.We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic research analyst to assist our research efforts. The role will involve developing and contributing original insights on how the wireless industry is evolving with exposure to technology trends that are shaping our world.Role & Responsibilities:
  • Support in smartphone tracker program by researching, interpreting, and recording relevant information in proprietary databases.
  • Research and write about connected devices landscape-smartwatches, connected PCs, tablets, MIFI, FWA, and other connected devices.
  • Research and write about North America carriers: performance, network rollouts, and strategies.
  • Write thought leadership pieces on generative AI.
  • Leverage internal data and fill information gaps through primary & secondary research.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc requests and analysis by working across cross-functional global teams.
  • Ensure high accuracy and diligence across large datasets of information.
  • Understand key drivers and inhibitors in the wireless market landscape in the US & Canada.
  • Write & assist in publishing thought-provoking reports/blogs which are read by C-level executives and industry experts. Present key findings to clients.
  • Participate and represent Counterpoint in wireless industry events (like CES, 5G Americas, MWC, IFA, etc.) while engaging with opinion leaders from across the world.Requisite Skills & Experience:You hold a B.S. or B.A with 3+ years of relevant work experience. You already have an interest and basic knowledge of tech and telecoms and can express your views clearly and concisely.In addition, you can demonstrate the following:
    • Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills are a must.
    • Comfortable with handling large datasets.
    • Interest and basic knowledge of tech and telecoms.
    • Self-driven individual with a keen interest in analyzing the technology and telecom sectors.
    • High level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work confidently as an individual contributor as well as being comfortable as a team player.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
    • MBA or other Masters preferred.Compensation: $75,000 - $120,000+ per year. Compensation will depend on experience.Location: Fort Collins, CO (USA) preferred (Remote/Hybrid possible). You are comfortable with some business travel within the territory.Benefits & Perks:
