Exercising some independent judgment and following the guidance of laboratory management, this individual is responsible for providing clinical trials research support for pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials studies, and for therapeutic and vaccine clinical trials for participants enrolled in NIH/ NAID/ DMID and DAIDS networks as conducted within the IDD Clinical Trials Processing Laboratory (IDD-CTPL). Additionally, this individual will support biological storage and shipping duties for the CTPL. Perform complex processing techniques, store and ship blood and tissue specimens collected for clinical trials. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Pharmaceutical Studies Technician: Process serum, plasma, cells, tissues, and other biological specimens according study procedures provided by the study sponsor.
