Principal Responsibilities:JCC Rockland is looking for an outgoing enthusiastic concierge to join our team. This position will be responsible for monitoring member reservations while creating a welcoming and friendly environment. They will have the responsibility of monitoring and ensuring reservations are being made while being responsive to members' needs. The concierge will provide assistance with the app, educate members where needed, and check them in for classes and court reservations.Position hours : 5:45 am to 12 pm Monday-FridayDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open the JCC at 6 am; arrive at 5:45am
- Greet members in with a warm welcome and a fond farewell
- Check members into the fitness center and classes/court times
- Be outgoing and willing to approach members and inquire if they made reservations
- Enforce reservations policy and assist members in learning our procedures ? Communicate with reception desk
- Be familiar with group fitness classes
- Manage scheduling
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
- Consistently offer the highest level of personalized member service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude. LEAF-(Listen, empathize, apologize, fix)
- Assist members/guests as needed with app, JCC programs, etc.
- Assist management or any authored personnel requesting assistance with any task related to the JCC
Responsibilities may be changed as the needs of the JCC change. This would be done with prior consultation.BENEFITS
Minimum Qualifications:SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES1. Excellent human relations, customer service, and communication skills2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Docs3. Customer service and hospitality experience4. Become proficient after training in the JCC's membership database (Daxko) and App (Technogym)JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma and 1 year of hospitality/service industry experience, preferred
- Requires long periods of standing or sitting
- An positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping others
