Job Summary
Manages all aspects of the Reservations program in Parks and Recreation from inquiry through implementation, including contract development, facility preparation, cash handling, and customer support. Plans, coordinates, schedules and supervises recreation staff in assigned, regularly scheduled projects and activities in order to successfully operate and maintain the Reservations program.
Essential Functions
1. Processes all reservation requests, changes and cancellations. Enters and/or modifies reservations in recreation software to maintain up to date availability, paperwork, payments, and ensure booking procedures are followed correctly.
2. Coordinates the Reservations program in conjunction with other department personnel to inform them of facility availability and access, ensure proper maintenance of facilities, etc.
3. Maintains up to date policies and procedures, researching current trends, new laws, and other factors that may affect the Reservations program.
4. Provides various program and financial reports for management.
5. Coordinates contractors and submits invoices for approval and payment.
6. Supervises the care and maintenance of Reservations equipment and facilities, including tables, chairs, etc. Requisitions supplies and equipment for the Reservations program.
7. Monitors budget, including revenue and expenditure projections, plus supply and equipment needs; assists in budget preparation.
8. Makes recommendations on hiring full-time and part-time staff involved in the Reservations program. Trains, supervises and evaluates staff members. Reviews payroll timesheets and initiates first approval.
9. Provides exceptional customer service, both in person and over the phone, and requires same of staff.
10. Responds to guest concerns or complaints in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates any outstanding requests or issues to management that may require additional follow-up.
11. Meets with staff and details assigned projects, allocated time and expected results.
12. Works with management to write press releases, newsletters and makes presentations for promotion of the Reservations program.
13. Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
14. Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
15. Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Requires two years of college with major coursework preferred in recreation/leisure studies or related field plus four years of directly related experience, or a Bachelor's degree (preferred in recreation/leisure studies or related field) plus two years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience must include one year of supervisory experience.
CPR and First Aid certifications required within 6 months of hire or promotion.
Work requires a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check and credit check. Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level 2).
