Overview The Reservationist is mainly responsible for answering phone calls, taking and confirming reservations. They manage floor plans and communicate guest inquiries in a gracious, efficient manner that is synonymous with Milos standards. Primary roles and responsibilities
- Handles incoming guest queries and reservation requests via email and multiple phone lines in a courteous and efficient manner
- Follows up on all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
- Calls guests to confirm all daily bookings
- Ensures guests are advised of policies and deposit requirements
- Acquires credit card Information for itemized receipts and credit card disputes
- Communicates and coordinates with FOH and BOH staff to discuss and relay any changes and special requests
- Updates preferences and ensures accuracy of guest profiles, merges duplicate profiles as needed
- Understands complete floor plan & service flow of the restaurant
- Answers phone calls and provides information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services
- Acts as a Milos brand ambassador; undertakes all duties and responsibilities while upholding core company values to ensure a memorable guest experience
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in an upscale dining setting
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Able to multi-task, is receptive to feedback and direction
- Knowledge of POS and reservation systems (an asset)
