Examples of Important Duties
Primary Responsibilities:
* Provide professional and knowledgeable customer service in a clear, concise, and helpful manner verbally and in writing for patron phone calls, emails and in-person interactions.
* Schedule, confirm, and maintain customer correspondence including payment, billing, and attendance recordkeeping for group tours, WMCP programs, photo permits and business meeting rentals. Maintain all reservation paperwork and reporting including internal documents and customer handouts.
* Regularly communicate and work cooperatively with the Education Program Manager to ensure service scheduling aligns with site capacities ensuring smooth service delivery. As needed, assist with tour day coordination- greeting guests, handle payments and communicating tour plans with guides.
* Coordinate all aspects of business meeting rentals including customer inquiries and site visits, reservations/confirmations, customer billing/payments, room set-up, guidance on food/beverage arrangements, and work with Park Staff on any necessary special arrangements or permitting requirements.
* Serve as primary during business meeting rentals open/close buildings, ensure room and equipment set-up/breakdown completed, ensure customer payments are received in full, all Park Rules and Rental Terms of Use are followed, and serve as day-of point of contact for customers.
* Work cooperatively with WMCP staff on the creation and distribution of marketing materials, promote WMCP's programs/services at marketing and community events. Create and cultivate WMCP's marketing database and contacts aimed at increasing revenue and attendance numbers.
Secondary Responsibilities:
* Maintain WMCP's Visitor Center rack cards, program flyers and gift shop area. Ensure items are restocked, merchandise displays changed periodically and look for new merchandise that aligns with the museum's programming and mission.
* As needed, assist with supplies and merchandise purchasing. Research vendors and items, complete purchasing paperwork, merchandise pricing, etc.
* As needed, work in the Visitor Center open/close public buildings, answer park patron questions and provide direction, check-in program attendees, ring up admissions and gift shop sales, as needed assist with cleaning/sanitation of public restrooms and public spaces.
* Participate in mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, events management, museum studies, public history or a related field; and
* Two years of related experience in a front facing sales, events management, or administrative position with progressively responsible experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Valid driver's license, or the ability to acquire one.

* Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up 30 lbs.
* Use of multiple technical equipment and software applications is required.
* Ability to provide regular transportation to work. No public transportation to the work site.

* This part time, year-round position does not qualify for benefits.
