Responsibilities
The Residence Hall Coordinator (RHC) manages the activities of assigned residence hall(s), ensuring the provision of appropriate authority and leadership that supports students both academically and interpersonally. RHC assists in the training and development of Resident Advisors (RAs). RHCs are designated as Essential Personnel for the purposes of emergency planning and management. The Residence Hall Coordinator reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life.
Qualifications
Aminimum of abachelor's degreefrom an accredited institution, with one to two years of experience working in Housing and Residence Life, Academic Support, StudentLifeor another unit area in Student Affairs.Possess strong analytical and communication skills, sound professional judgment,initiativeand the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals including students,facultyand staff. Experience with Microsoft Office applicationsandsocial media platforms.Some knowledge of event planning, organizational management and student development theory is preferred. Must becreative,organizedandable to multitask,with strong attention to detailand the management of his/her/the university's time.
