Position Summary The Residency Coordinator (RC) position contains both administrative and projects manager aspects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Other duties may be assigned.
- The residency program coordinator manages day-to-day administrative functions of the residency programs and assists with other education programs as assigned, and receives supervision/feedback from education programs administrator.
- The residency coordinator manages a range of responsibilities associated with the residency programs, including coordination of the application process, interviews and interviewing schedules, and other activities required to support the programs and maintain the accreditations.
- The residency coordinator also assists with and provides administrative support for the other education programs as assigned to ensure the successful coordination and delivery of education program services.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
- Education Bachelor's degree (management or social science) preferred.
Experience
- Experience Three (3) years of office management or administrative experience required.
- Equivalent experience in administration and office management in an academic health care setting.
- One year of experience in a graduate medical education program is preferred.
- Experience as a residency or fellowship coordinator and/or working within a GME, residency or fellowship program setting is a plus.
