As a Resident Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting the personal needs of our residents. Under general supervision, you will assist with or provide direct care for an assigned group, ensuring high-quality, compassionate, and consistent support for their daily activities. Qualifications and Job Skills: - Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent GED preferred. - Experience with elderly individuals or in caregiving is desired. - Must meet or exceed all state and/or facility-mandated training and continuing education requirements. Essential Skills and Attributes: - Genuine desire to work with the elderly in a setting that respects their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality. - Ability to promptly and appropriately address issues. - Strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other community members. - Flexibility to work various hours as needed. - Capability to work independently while responding well to supervision. - Good decision-making skills related to resident care. - Understanding of elderly care needs. - Cheerful and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow. - Team player with effective collaboration skills. - Adherence to hygiene, grooming standards, and company dress code. - Good character and a reputation for personal integrity. Preferred candidates will have completed HCA or CNA certification with one year of experience. Non-certified candidates with at least one year of caregiving experience, especially in memory care or behavioral health, will be considered if they are able to obtain HCA or CNA certification.
