Job Requisition: REQ2969Employment Type: Per DiemShift: Rotating shifts Hours Per Week: As scheduledHiring range: $15.15- $19.70 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities:- Makes rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention.- Straightens utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry as needed.- Assists with meal service, passing trays, and clearing of tables.- Makes beds and tidy up rooms. Passes out clean linen.- Assures ice water is available on the units.- Answers call lights and performs non-nursing duties - reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse.- Screens visitors. - Responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned.Requirements:- Ability to push carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment.- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.- Climb stairs, reach above or below shoulder height.- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds.- Strong problem-solving skills. - Provides prompt and efficient assistance.- Must treat residents' information as confidential.Minimum Qualifications:Education:- High school diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.Personal Protective Equipment:- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English
