JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Resident Assistant

Department: Group Homes

Fulltime 36 hours per week; hourly. Night shift, 7pm-7am Thur, Fri, Sat.

Job Summary: Direct residential care of adult and geriatric clients who are mentally ill, chemically dependent, dually diagnosed or mentally ill with mental retardation/developmental disabilities. Maintenance of program facilities, equipment and supplies in FHC's Supervised living Programs (Group Homes/Clustered Apartment setting). Essential Job Duties: 1. Educates, trains and supervises residents in activities of daily living. 2. Supervises residents in the self-administration of medications. 3. Responsible for the cleanliness and efficient operation of the residential sites. 4. Responsible for the supervision/implementation of daily menus. 5. Perform daily assessments of residents functioning and alert appropriate staff to any problems encountered. 6. Provide model for and become resource person to all residents.

Job Specifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: 2 years' experience in a residential setting preferred.

Valid Driver's License.

8. Performance Requirements:

Mental: Good judgement, good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Will be expected to interact with other professionals.

9. Reports to: Residential Services Operations ManagerPay Range: $16 per hour
