Make Someone's Life Better.This is a nurse aide training position which leads to state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA). The purpose of this position is to receive in-person, classroom, online, and book training to Learn and become proficient in the essential job functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) in order to pass the required state test and attain certification. This training is under the direction and supervision of the Staff Development Nurse. Prior to and during training, the employee will also provide delivery of care (other than direct care) as described on each individual resident's Nurse Assistant care plan and as directed per Resident Assistant scope and standards prior to completion of the nurse aide training class. This includes; but is not limited to, maintaining the resident's room in a tidy, orderly condition with respect to the individual resident's rights and preferences, serving resident meals and nourishments, collecting meal trays at end of meal, supply fresh ice, water and other refreshments as assigned, transporting residents within the facility, completing and documenting all tasks as directed on the individual resident's care plan and assisting with other tasks as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALSDemonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply principles of customer service. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Demonstrates the ability to utilize appropriate judgement. Ability to communicate well through speech, written word and body language to denote approval or displeasure. Ability to summarize and synthesize information and communicate the message to others. Ability to foster teamwork.
