Job DetailsJob LocationLowes Pittson PA - Pittston, PAPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionPrincipal DutyThe Resident Automation Technician I supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improving the site's performance through troubleshooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician I must represent the TGW image and ensure a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.This position is based in Pittston, PATasks & Responsibilities1. Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.2. Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.3. Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.4. Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.5. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.6. Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.7. Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.8. Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements Profile 1. High school diploma required. Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.2. Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability.3. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).5. Ability to travel up to 10%.6. Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems preferred.7. Familiarity with HMI (human machine interface) and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience preferred.8. Experience with interpretation of engineering drawings for use in diagnostics preferred.9. Must be able to see differences between colors, shades and brightness13. Exposed to moving and/or motorized equipment, machinery, parts and electricity that require safety protocols14. Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand15. Must be able to understand the speech of others16. Must be able to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them17. Must be able to focus on one source of sound and ignore others18. Must be able to determine from which direction a sound came19. Must be able to use critical PPE correctly20.
