What will I do as a Resident Care Assistant Director?
  • Ensures that the Resident Care Department Operates in accordance with all Village at LifeQuest Senior Living Policy and with state and local regulations.
  • Assures Nurses, Resident Care Coordinator, Medication Assistants and Resident Assistants are observing resident rights.
  • Assures Nurses, Resident Care Coordinator, Medication Assistants and Resident Assistants are knowledgeable of current company and state policies pertinent to their jobs.
  • Conducts assessment of new residents for admission including ensuring that all admission paperwork meets company and state requirements prior to admission.
  • Assist with resident admission, transfer, and discharge as needed.
  • Oversee the ordering, controlling, and distribution of medications.
  • Develop and implement each resident's assessment and support plan, updating whenever necessary.
  • Coordinate care with other disciplines ensuring other departments are aware of new physician orders.
  • Review and answer resident, family and employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Recruit, Orient, and train new team members.
  • Ensure staffing meets the needs of the residents.
  • Assist with marketing by providing tours, discussing admission process, and attending open houses as needed.
  • Conduct and attend required in-services and trainings.
  • Assure resident safety.
  • Participate in On-call Rotation.
  • Directly Supervises the Nurses, Medication Assistants and Resident Care Coordinators who supervise the Resident Assistants.
  • Ensure that all employee evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures ASP is followed.
What is required in this position?
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a minimum of a RN in good standing.
  • Four (4) or more years' experience in the long-term care industry required.
  • Three (3) or more years in a management position required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must have working understanding of PA 2800 regulations.
