Essential Job Functions/Duties
- Extends excellent service to all residents
- Assures each resident's right to privacy and confidentiality, at all times
- Establishes appropriate relationships with residents which ensures them a safe environment that protects their rights
- Models behaviors that foster the Resident First philosophy
- Communicates verbally and in writing all pertinent information to assist in resident care
- Communicates pertinent information with members of the resident care team to ensure continuity; report change in condition; or other resident concerns or issues
- Provides assistance for residents who have a need for care services including and not limited to all activities of daily living according to established policies and procedures, individualized care plans and physician orders
- Medication administration
- Maintains a safe environment for the resident according to VSF policy and procedures-reports potential or actual hazardous conditions including but not limited to, fire, electrical hazards, internal/external disaster, infection control--takes action to reduce a risk situation
- Quality assurance tasks such as, but not limited to, maintaining accurate documentation, specimen collection, key count maintenance and supply, and services charge updates.
- Performs other duties as assigned
