Job Description:
The Aspenwood Company has opportunities for a full time Resident Care Coordinator at Village of Southampton an Independent Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community.Pay Rate: $22.50/hrSchedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Overview:The Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for medication management and direct care for residents, following individual service plans. This role requires a compassionate approach, fostering a homelike atmosphere, and promoting independence among seniors.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage medications as prescribed, monitor resident responses, and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Orient and train new Resident Medication Aides (RMAs) and Resident Assistants (RAs) through hands-on mentoring.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, documenting medication distribution, health changes, and incidents in compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Resident Care (DRC) for staffing needs, assist in recruitment, and support teamwork among staff.
  • Follow procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
  • Ensure the medicine supply room and medication area are organized and compliant with regulations.
Secondary Administrative Duties:
  • Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage per state regulations.
  • Conduct medication audits, ensure timely refills, and maintain inventory.
  • Facilitate training for new staff on medication administration and facility policies.
  • Document shift reports and ensure effective communication during shift changes.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior living community.
  • Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
