Per Diem, Weekday, or Weekend Caregiver
REWARDING: Gateway House is an end-of-life 2-bed private home that occasionally needs people to fill in for shifts. This is a great opportunity for retired or active RNs, LPNs, CNAs, EMTs or medical providers with equivalent experience, or people who have personal experience caring for the sick. Per diem coverage is needed for weekdays, weekends, and overnights. These positions are flexible - 4 to 12 hours shifts available. Minimal medical care in a clean home setting. Medication administration, showering or bed bathing care, (no hoyers, no heavy lifting)
Hospice or end-of-life care experience preferred, but not required.
Must be able to work alone or with volunteer staff or students Dependable character and personal qualities as verified through interviews, references, and background checks will reflect integrity, trusty worthiness, good listening skills, and compassionate outcomes.
Physically and emotionally able to care for residents under hospice care in their final days of life while providing comfort and emotional support to the residents and family. Understand and follow hospice medical treatment plan on administering medications.
Records ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and MAR (Medication Administration Management) as well as Resident communications book
Attend to all the resident s physical needs - Residents are 150lbs or less and could need 1-2 person assistance or are no longer getting out of bed.
Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed
$15.00-$17.50/hour
Part-time, per diem Care Staff
We are supportive, rewarding, family oriented and our goal is to provide end of life care for two residents in our peaceful private home.
Shifts open:
Sat & Sun 7-11am, 11am-3pm, 3pm-7pm
Mon 7-3pm
Wed & Thurs 3 pm - 7 pm
Fri 7 pm - 11 pm (alternating)
Shifts are 4 hours, with 8 hours for overnights, there will be shifts available for pick up periodically when other staff are unable to cover their normal shifts or are on vacation.
