We pride ourselves on being loyal and reliable to our customers, clients, and our greatest assets, our people.POSITION - Resident Engineer, starting immediately.LOCATION - Reporting to the Engineer of Construction for Ports, the position will be on-site at the New Jersey Marine Terminals.SCOPE - Manage the scope of work, schedule, contractor's field procedures and construction problems, and other technical information for the successful delivery of projects within budget and schedule. Work generally pertains to building improvements, civil site work, utility modifications and upgrades, and maintenance of traffic, with some electrical, environmental, and plumbing knowledge.REQUIREMENTS:Act as the day-to-day construction manager for assigned projects, reporting to the Senior Engineer of Construction / Engineer of Construction.Coordinate with Facility forces and other stakeholders to advance work in the most efficient manner possible while least impacting facility operations.Understand the Contract and use its clauses to administer and enforce policy necessary to complete projects.Resolve contractor disputes and use the administrative process to execute.Oversee an Assistant Resident Engineer and field staff to ensure that they are properly carrying out their functions of ensuring proper installation and advancement of construction and they are filing the proper documentation.Review contractor payments, report monthly on construction progress and financial health of projects and elevate potential issues.Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or University.Minimum 10 years of experience managing construction work, varied in size (projects ranging from $500K to $5 million plus) and complexity (multiple crew and crew sizes per shift).Valid driver's license required and ability to obtain a high SWAC clearance.OSHA 30-hour certification required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word / Excel and Outlook.Desirable: Professional Engineer; Aeronautical construction experience.Pay Rate: $50.00-$75.00/Hourly Salary (This may vary depending upon years of experience and education.)Benefits of Working at Laland BaptisteMedical / Prescription PlanDental / Vision PlanLife InsuranceShort / Long Term Disability PlanFlexible Spending Accounts401KVacation, Holiday, and Personal DaysSick LeaveLaland Baptiste LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
