Position Summary
The Resident Regional Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the janitorial operations of a healthcare portfolio, specifically focusing on ambulatory sites. The primary goal is to establish strong relationships with site leadership, ensure compliance with scope of work standards, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness to meet healthcare regulations. This role involves regular site inspections, project work identification, and timely communication with the janitorial team to implement corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders at each ambulatory site.
- Act as the primary point of contact for site leadership regarding janitorial services and quality standards.
- Address concerns promptly and escalate issues as needed.
2. Operational Oversight
- Conduct regular inspections of each ambulatory site to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and the scope of work.
- Identify areas requiring improvement or additional project work (e.g., deep cleaning, floor refinishing).
- Collaborate with site leadership to prioritize and schedule necessary project work.
3. Quality Assurance
- Evaluate the performance of janitorial staff and ensure adherence to healthcare cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Document inspection findings and report them to management with recommended actions.
- Develop corrective action plans in collaboration with the janitorial management team and ensure timely resolution of issues.
4. Team Coordination
- Communicate findings and improvement plans to janitorial team members and supervisors.
- Provide coaching and training as needed to enhance staff performance.
- Monitor progress of corrective actions and ensure ongoing compliance with established standards.
5. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present inspection reports and updates to management and site leadership.
- Track and analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely follow-up on all identified deficiencies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in janitorial services, healthcare operations, or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of healthcare cleaning standards, including OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and travel within the designated region as required.
Certifications
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) or equivalent (preferred).

- Quality Assurance: Percentage of sites meeting or exceeding cleanliness standards during inspections.

Working Conditions
