Job Type Full-time Description Resident Service Coordinator Monroe Group is looking for a Resident Service Coordinator to join our team! We are seeking a Resident Service Coordinator to help us keep our property running smoothly. Must enjoy working with people and have a passion for customer service!SUMMARY: The Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) will coordinate and provide, with the support of the onsite property management team, a range of educational materials to be available to residents free of charge. The RSC will create materials as well as obtain materials from area community service organizations. In addition, the RSC will act as a relocation specialist to help plan, coordinate and communicate in-place renovations and temporary relocations as they continue through construction projects at the properties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans coordinates and communicates all renovation and relocation matters to the residents
- The resident service coordinator will work with tenants and management assisting in the relocation of tenants during rehabilitation construction of the properties.
- Responsible for providing information about and connecting them residents to area services including, but not limited to:
Tobacco treatment programs, including the statewide Maine Tobacco Helpline and provide referrals to area smoking cessation programs. Financial literacy and banking programs through area bank branches. Employment readiness skills through educational materials, referrals to area job training resources and job fairs, and onsite volunteer resume workshops Educational resources by connecting residents to area public and private schools, helping with navigation of financial aid programs, referrals to GED programs, family enrichment programs, parenting classes and water safety and fire safety resources. Other state and/or local service providers that residents can contact for assistance (e.g. services to families, children, individuals who are elderly, persons with disabilities, emergency assistance). Responsible for organizing presenters for an educational event which may include subjects relating to health care, agency support, life skills referral sources, etc. Educational and community flyers will be distributed to regular ongoing resident communications, prospective resident packets, and/or overall community marketing. The RSC will maintain a resource board allowing immediate resources for all residents including, food assistance, medical/health/counseling, continuing education, job assistance, and others. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- A.A. Degree; or pursuing a BA degree or equivalent; or equivalent experience serving families.
- Ability to interact with a culturally diverse community
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to speak in front of groups and build relationships with key partners.
- Needs to be innovative and resourceful: a person who is flexible and creative in designing resident-centric programs as well as skillful at finding local opportunities that fit the need.
Salary Description $17.00/hr. - $19.00/hr.
