Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated Resident Social Services Coordinator to support our senior and disabled residents by connecting them with essential services to age in place. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with seniors and/or disabled individuals, with a strong ability to match services to their specific needs. - $25.00 - $28.00 / hour

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS A RESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
- Establish relationships with service organizations in your community and connect them to resident needs
- Educate residents and staff on available community resources such as case management, meals-on-wheels, transportation, etc.
- Provide assistance and advisement to residents on available services that promote wellness and self-reliance.
- Monitor delivery of resident services to ensure they are appropriate and timely.
- Establish relationships with and provide reporting to service providers as needed.
- Assist residents in creating informal support networks among themselves with family and friends.
- Coordinate educational events for resident benefit and engagement, as appropriate.
- Create volunteer support programs with service organizations in the community.
QualificationsWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required: 2 years of experience with seniors/elderly and disability services, including a working knowledge of local service providers, OR a completed bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Public Health, Counseling, or a related field. Both a degree and relevant work experience are a plus
- Training in aging processes, elder and disability services, and federal and state entitlement programs, with knowledge of legal liability, substance abuse, and mental health issues affecting the elderly is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and achieve results for the elderly and disabled is preferred
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
