Our resident support staff team members are responsible for overnight and/or weekend monitoring of the facility for safety and security concerns, and providing non-clinical program support services for the residents.

Support staff provide information to facility management and other team members of observed resident activities which may potentially have a detrimental impact on safety and security.

Schedule: 8:00pm-4:00am,Wednesday through Sunday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform safety and security checks of entries, households, and common area every two hours. Monitor guest visiting in the common areas.
  • Provide telephone assistance (police, fire, aid) to residents if indicated to ensure safety.
  • Performs administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Handles all consumer information and clinic activities in a confidential manner in keeping with agency policies.
  • Keeps supervisors informed of daily activities and any potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Follows all of the agency's safety procedures.
  • Adhering to the policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Understand recovery concepts in behavioral health.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Apply recovery concepts, as appropriate to my work at Sound.
  • Synthesize and demonstrate recovery concepts in my work at Sound.

KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS:

Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with clinical team members, clients, clients' family, and outside organizations. Relates to a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations, and is respectful of individual and cultural differences.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in human services or with special needs population preferred, if educational level is high school or GED.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Strong commitment to working with individuals with a mental illness/personal case need.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to be flexible and work varied hours.
  • Willingness to work as a team.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and skills quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must be able to obtain a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must be willing to complete First Aid/CPR training.
  • Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record required.
  • Must successfully pass criminal background checks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to usehands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The teammember frequently is required to stand and sit. The team member is occasionallyrequired to walk. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds ormore with assistance.
