JOB TITLE: Residential Aide EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/wk SCHEDULED HOURS: Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12am PROGRAM/LOCATION: Milestone, Putnam, CT PC#: 2787 ABOUT THE PROGRAM: MILESTONE Milestone is a 30-day intensive level 3.7 residential treatment center designed to accommodate and treat women with a history of substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. Our program is recovery-oriented, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed. The overall goal of treatment is to help women find real hope for recovery. Milestone offers individual and group counseling, case management, and aftercare planning services. This program also provides treatment for co-occurring disorders, with substance abuse as their primary diagnosis. Treatment is individualized and targeted around the needs essential to moving forward toward employment, housing, and family stability. Milestone is part of CHR's Center of Excellence for Women/Women and Children at our Putnam campus. Length of day is less than 30 days and are then referred out to a step-down program to further address their co-occurring disorders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard
- Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
- Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day's events
- Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills.
- Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor
- Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
- Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
- Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
- Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Experience in Human Services with responsible work history. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license required with good driving record. CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment. Why Join CHR?
