Job DescriptionResidential Aide Shift SupervisorPlease Note: This position is pending a contract award. If you are interested in a future with Cherokee Federal, APPLY TODAY! Although this is not an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need.The Residential Aide Shift Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations within a residential facility. They are responsible for coordinating and supervising residential aides during their shifts, ensuring that residents receive quality care and support. Key duties include scheduling shifts, providing guidance and support to staff members, implementing protocols and procedures, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents. The Residential Aide Shift Supervisor serves as a liaison between staff, residents, and management, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving.Compensation & Benefits:
  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Residential Aide Shift Supervisor: $24.04/hr
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

Residential Aide Shift Supervisor Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and maintain work schedules for residential aides, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Delegate assignments to residential aides and provide necessary training and support to ensure proper execution of duties.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Director to align operational goals and priorities.
  • Conduct regular meetings with residential aides to discuss assignments, communicate updated policies and procedures, and address any concerns.
  • Conduct routine facility tours to identify irregularities and oversee corrective measures to address identified issues.
  • Coordinate and manage residential aides' schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage at the facility.
  • Assess training needs for residential aides and coordinate appropriate training sessions.
  • Supervise resident new admissions and move-outs to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Generate and submit nightly rosters and maintain documentation related to shift coverage.
  • Collaborate with hotel management to prevent loitering within and around the building premises.
  • Assist in conducting fire drills and emergency evacuations as needed.
  • Oversee mail distribution processes and ensure timely delivery to residents.
  • Supervise bed checks, room safety inspections, and late pass functions to maintain a secure environment.
  • Manage the food distribution process, including receiving food deliveries and ensuring proper distribution.
  • Implement programmatic needs as outlined by the Site and Social Services Directors to support residents' well-being and program objectives.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Residential Aide Shift Supervisor Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Experience working with diverse migrant groups or the homeless population is essential.
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
  • Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Strong customer services background
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with guests.
  • Able to prioritize and be accountable for timeliness to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
