You will report to the Residential Supervisor and you will work onsite.Responsibilities:Supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plansSupervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.Work shifts on the unit as assigned, which could include variable shifts (several days and several evenings each week)Work as one of the staff within the staff-to-youth ratio on the unitWork as a role model for newer, less experienced staffMaintain recordsParticipate in the training of residential staffSeek out training opportunities for all staff relevant to the work on the unitParticipate in residential staff meetingsUnderstand and apply the general framework and expected outcomes of the various treatment models used with the youth,Maintain safety and an environment that supports youth to be safe and make progress on the unitMake the unit a family-friendly place, where family members feel welcome and activities are planned that include family members. Teach, and then ensure, that staff persons treat family members with respect and listen to their concerns, document them, and pass them on to the appropriate clinician and administrator.Teach and ensure all staff members treat all youth, family members, collaterals, neighbors, and the general public with respect and dignity at all times. Everyone should be spoken to in a calm, rational voice, without rancor.Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the unitsDevelop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unitHelp evaluate youth referred to the Agency for residential careParticipate in the appropriate on call systemParticipate in the financial responsibilities of the residential unit following established guidelinesParticipate in and organize program and agency wide special events and servicesOversee and transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needsWork with clinical staff to coordinate the implementation of treatment plans in the milieuAssist in crisis interventionRequirements and Education:Requires an Associate's degree plus three years of experience, Bachelor's degree preferred, OR HS plus at least five years of experience required.Related experience with vulnerable populations and older adolescent population is required.Must have supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to manage a residential unit.Required to maintain TCI certification.A valid driver's license and meet agency insurability standards for using agency vehicles and transporting youth.Must pass physical.BenefitsHealth care package: medical, dental, and visionTuition reimbursementPaid time offHoliday Pay401 (K) planLife InsuranceLoan repayment assistanceFree training/CEU opportunitiesAbout Northern RiversAt Northern Rivers Family of Services, we work together to make a difference in our client's lives.
