Centered around the eight dimensions of wellness, Elijah Rising provides safe housing, food, utilities, clothing, personal supplies, access to medical and dental care, professional therapy, life skills training, emotional skills, occupational resources, job skills, case management, spiritual care, and transportation 24/7/365.SummaryThe Residential Coordinator member is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and coordinating program activities to meet the needs of program residents. The Residential Coordinator collaborates with the Residential Coordinator to provide the optimal level of care for each resident. Specific tasks include medication disbursement, daily reporting, meal preparation, household maintenance, Bible or curriculum studies, spiritual care, transportation, and crisis intervention.Required Duties and Responsibilities(Other duties may be assigned as necessary)Essential Functions
- Maintain order and safety for all residents, volunteers, staff, and visitors
- Maintain the cleaning of the home, ensure that residents are completing daily household tasks and weekly chores
- Supervise and participate in meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation while remaining within the allotted budget parameters
- Track household supplies and replenish when needed
- Monitor disbursements for stipends and activities
- Provide maintenance issues to Residential Coordinator
- Act as a mediator between residents when conflict arises
Resident Care
- Uphold the policies, procedures, and core values, of the program
- Implement daily schedules and confirm transportation requirements for residents based on the individual service plans created by the Case Manager, engaging staff and volunteers as needed
- Prepare Welcome Kits for new residents and complete orientation process with them including property searches, drug screen, intake paperwork
- Review and practice program policies and expectations regularly with residents
- Conduct drug testing and room searches as needed
- Oversee medication disbursement and complete medication logs daily including any medication changes
- Support residents with needs such as filling and pickup of prescription refills
- Explore and organize resident outings while maintaining adherence to the allotted budget and schedule
- Model behaviors that encourage personal wellness
- Maintain healthy boundaries with residents and staff
- Facilitates and oversees group activities, prayer, and curriculum work, as needed
- Transports and accompanies residents to appointments, reporting comprehensive post-visit summaries
- Enters all documentation and notes into appropriate software daily to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary
- This role supervises and provides hospitality to volunteers when present
Qualifications
- Must have communication, writing, and language skills
- Must be extremely detail-oriented
- Must have strong time-management skills
- Must be interested in psychology and open to learning new therapeutic techniques
- Must have emotional intelligence, discernment, and interpersonal skills
- Must be CPR/AED certified
- Excellent computer skills needed
- Able to create spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, and other documents
- Must be able to manage time efficiently to meet expected weekly deadlines
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and general business periodicals
- Able to write reports, presentations, blogs, essays, as needed
- Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios in proportion to practical situations
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Other Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and valid vehicle insurance
- Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van
- Must be able to drive on the highway for long distances (2 hours+)
- Must successfully pass background checks and random drug testing during employment
- Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, and drive
- Vision requirements include close vision, far-range vision, and the ability to focus
- Hearing requirements include the ability to hear a normal conversation in normal ranges and the ability to be in moderate to loud environments for extended periods of time
- Occasionally required to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Occasionally required to climb stairs, bend or stoop, kneel or crouch
