Job Description:
Supports the weekly scheduling of residential staff to ensure client ratios are at required standards to support the supervision of residents and meaningful programming for all shifts. Provides direct coverage as needed. Reviews and approves payroll to ensure accuracyResponsible for the orientation, training, and ongoing coaching and supervision and evaluations of Residential Staff and volunteers. Tracks and manages training compliance and identifies training needs.Ensures the behavior management system and incentive programming is applied with fidelity and supports the resident treatment goals. Reviews ICMPs and resident treatment goals with staff to highlight trauma informed responseWorks with program staff to coordinate and integrate programming, wellness and family services, family holidays and special events to support resident individual family goals.Conduct and document staff meetings and resident unit meetings regularly 1-2xmonth to support open communication, shared governance and social learning.Chairs and documents team meetings and attends resident treatment meetingsAct as the lead person for crisis situations. Provides direct crisis prevention and intervention services to residents. Ensures proper documentation & notifications to parents, guardians, oversight systems as required.Provides oversight of incident management to ensure the timely and accurate submission of all required documentation and notifications. Provides informal and formal debriefing sessions with staff and residents as needed to support learning and growth.Supports the oversight and management of program funds and expenditures. Ensures accurate records and oversight of submission of receipts and reconciliation is made daily. Monitors all expense logs.Reviews staff meeting reports, resident monthly progress notes to ensure accurate and submitted as dueResponsible for assessing the overall atmosphere of program, observe staff and resident interactions, conducts required unannounced supervisory checks , resolve staff and residents issues and provide training corrections as neededCoordinate with other supervisory staff. facility checks, unannounced visits, fire drills, food service, clothing room, purchasing, personal care and household supplies, and unit and program logs. Coordinates supervisory coverage and staffing with other coordinator. Work as supervisor on call for after hoursPerforms all other duties as assigned by the Program DirectorQualifications - ExternalQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum BA degree in related field, Master's degree in mental health preferred.Previous supervisory, clinical and/or residential experience is preferredValid NYS Driver's LicenseAcceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program. Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.This position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body.
