About Pee Dee Regional Center
Pee Dee Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Functions:
* Provide effective leadership and direct supervision of QIDP's that promotes solid management practices; ensures high standards of care and facilitates professional development of staff.
* Facilitate internal compliance and quality improvement mechanisms, in conjunction with the Director of QA/Therap and IST Director to ensure that consumer safety and health is a priority and standards of care and support are in accordance with applicable regulations and standards (ICFIID, DDSN Directives and Pee Dee Center Internal Procedures). Ensure understanding and effective use of Therap among staff.
* Determine staffing levels and requirements for all functions supervised and make recommendations to the Facility Administrator, including determining schedules of employees for the benefit of consumers serves, and employees to the extent possible.
* Maintain effective and supportive relationships with family members and clients, and provide follow up resolution of any concerns and complaints related to residential living or other supports provided. Ensure accurate input and assessment of target staffing level (TSL) report daily.
* Review and make recommendations on the control of expenditures; make recommendations on needs related to staff/consumers and physical property that will enhance the functioning safety and well-being of consumers.
* Serve as a member of the Executive Staff, the Risk Management Committee and the Human Rights Committee. Perform other duties and tasks as requests by the Facility Administrator. Performs after hours on call duties as scheduled & other duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Health and/or Human Services with relevant program experience.
South Carolina Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of and previous experience with ICF's serving persons with intellectual disabilities and be familiar with DHEC certification requirements. Strong motivational, coaching, and teaching skills. Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization. Efficient organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks. Understanding of budget management process. Ability to make decisive, effective management decisions within the policies and operational framework of the agency. Knowledge of agency's mission, programs, and objectives. Knowledge of management principles. Knowledge of an agency's organizational structure, the people who manage the work and the processes applicable to government work. Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.

State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
College Transcripts: Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application are required to provide an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific time frame required by that area, after hiring.
Driving Record: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
