Job Type: Full-time/Permanent Location: Selinsgrove, PA Job Responsibilities: Blueprint Interpretation and Planning:
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Take measurements and calculate material requirements, ensuring accuracy.
Carpentry and Construction:
- Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, including plywood and wallboard.
- Build and install cabinets, shelving, windows, doors, and trim.
- Develop building frameworks such as walls, floors, and doorframes.
Precision and Quality:
- Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail, ensuring all tasks meet exacting standards.
- Utilize both hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape, and finish materials with precision.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with fellow carpenters, contractors, and construction teams.
- Communicate regularly with clients, supervisors, and project managers to report progress and resolve any issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of carpentry methods and techniques, including installation and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
