Program Overview: Our Residential Service Program offers a continuum of housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill with supervised residences. Our purpose is to help those suffering from severe mental illness to live in the least restrictive setting that is compatible with their level of functioning. As a Residential Supervisor in our Adult Residential Program, you will provide for the safety and security of adult clients within the residential setting by promoting a healthful and supportive environment. Assist with skills training and daily living responsibilities. Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. Work closely with the residential nurse and director in the implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals. Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of residential counselors, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure the implementation of individualized rehabilitation plans and support strategies in line with resident's goals and needs.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and maintain consistent standards of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including residential nurse and director, to coordinate services and address residents' needs.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, incidents, and any significant observations.
  • Handle crisis situations and conflicts professionally, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Stay updated on agency trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to residential care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum requirement is a High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years related mental health experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisor capacity with the chronic mentally ill adult population.
  • Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
  • Preferred is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health, health or other appropriate human services related discipline with knowledge of and experience with the chronic mentally ill adult population.
