**Residential Supervisor In-Training/Caregiver**

**Adult Services - Normal, IL - Full Time**

Marcfirst provides a continuum of services and supports for families, children and adults throughout their lifetime including residential, vocational development, employment, high school transition and therapeutic supports for children. Marcfirst is seeking an **On-Site Supervisor (OSS) In-Training**, to work in our Supported Living program. Marcfirst currently supports eight Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) in the Bloomington-Normal area with 3-8 adults in each home. Applicant will provide a variety of services to adults with developmental disabilities while training to become our next On-Site Supervisor (OSS). These services are meant to increase independence and overall life fulfillment.

**Pay:** $15.20/hour

**Job Type:** Full Time (40+ hours/week)

**Responsibilities:**

* Building relationships and encouraging community participation

* Personal care bathing, changing, and toileting

* Fostering skill-building and working towards residents individual goals

* Other household tasks cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and meal planning

* Transporting residents to appointments, recreational events, and other outings

* Providing coaching and mentoring for staff in helping them reach their professional goals and outcomes

* Managing financial resources, supporting our database management systems, and maintaining files

* Advocating for the diverse challenges facing people with developmental disabilities

**Requirements:**

* Desire to make a difference in lives with people with developmental disabilities.

* Relevant work or volunteer experience preferred.

* Minimum 9 months experience supporting people with developmental disabilities

* Management experience preferred

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* High school diploma or GED

* Availability based on the needs of people supported, which could include days, evenings and/or weekends

* Must possess valid drivers license

* Must be able to successfully pass criminal, DCFS, safe driving background check, TB test and drug screen

**Physical Demands:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
