They monitor resident behavior, mental status, and progress, ensuring compliance with program rules and regulations. They also address any issues that arise and may assist with resident transport to medical appointments or court hearings, contributing to the effective operation of the facility and the well-being of its residents.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsures overall safety of living units and day rooms through continual observation of residents' behavior, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.Documents behavior and activities in appropriate logs, reports, or records.Attends resident Integrated Care Plan meetings, reports and assesses treatment progress, and collaborates with clinical team for future treatment goals.Monitors resident compliance with rules and regulations, reports violations, and conducts routine safety checks and accurate resident counts.Provides 1:1 supervision of residents in crisis, participates in Residential Therapeutic Community Meetings, and assists Clinical Staff with therapeutic activities on the housing units.Qualifications & RequirementsEducationHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent requiredBachelor's Degree preferredStudies in healthcare, mental health or human services a plusExperienceDirect care experience in a mental health or forensic mental facility, security residence or correctional facility preferred.Healthcare, mental health or human services experience a plus.Licenses/CertificationsHealthcare, mental health or human services license or certification a plus.Additional Details3rd shift replacementWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerWe celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We encourage you to apply!
