Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Residential Whole Loan Transaction Manager to support our trading operations across various mortgage products, including Agency, Non-QM, DSCR, and closed-end second lien mortgages. The successful candidate will lead the full lifecycle of the trade process. This role demands a strong background in transaction management, collateral analysis, and market trends, with a focus on operational efficiency and relationship management. You will collaborate with the trade desk on counterparty due diligence, market analysis, and loan collateral evaluation to ensure that all trades align with broader portfolio strategies. By working closely with internal teams such as risk management, investor accounting, and legal counsel as well as external partners, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth execution of transactions while identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the trade process, including due diligence, trade confirmation, funding memos, and collateral management.
- Oversee the preparation and review of funding tapes, exception reports, trust receipts, and Bailee letters to ensure compliance with transaction terms.
- Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, and legal teams to manage transaction logistics and resolve issues related to collateral delivery and documentation.
- Assist the trade desk with counterparty due diligence and loan collateral analysis to support strategic trading decisions.
- Collaborate with the trade desk to assess market trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including risk management and investor accounting, to align transaction strategy with broader portfolio goals.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key counterparties, fostering a collaborative approach to joint ventures and deal flow.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of trade progress, issues, and resolutions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive the continual improvement of operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in residential whole loan trading, transaction management, or capital markets.
- Deep understanding of the residential mortgage market, whole loan transaction management, and collateral management processes.
- Demonstrated experience with transaction documentation, including MLPSA, PPTL, and Bailee letters.
- Experience with collateral analysis, including reviewing loan files and evaluating credit risk, property value, compliance risk and borrower characteristics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and external partners to resolve issues and drive results.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
- Experience with trade execution, loan funding, and managing post-trade diligence preferred.
- Exposure to pricing methodologies for mortgages, including understanding the impact of prepayment risk, credit risk, and market conditions on valuations.

- The base salary range for this position is 100k-150k. We are open to varying levels of experience.
