Job purpose
* A Materials Handler is responsible for supplying raw material to the press and daily changeovers.
Duties and responsibilities
* Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Responsible for material change overs at the molding machine
* Responsible for maintaining and cleaning dryers, grinders and raw material area
* Maintain and correctly label the raw materials
* Assist production team on housekeeping of plant floor
* Operates forklift, pallet truck and other associated material handling equipment.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Ability to work in team environment and maintain positive attitude
* Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures
* Good attention to detail
* Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
* Ability to plan and organize their schedule
Working conditions
* Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.
* Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when required
Physical requirements
* Standing for long periods of time
* Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 1500 pounds with an assist.
* Must be able to frequently reach, bend, kneel, squat and climb.
