This position is responsible for ensuring the resort grounds remain pristine, welcoming, and safe for guests. As a Maintenance Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of landscaping, maintenance, and repair tasks to maintain the resort's high standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Works under the direction of the Resort Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the grounds, exterior building, and parking lots in an above standard of cleanliness/neatness.
- Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of equipment, i.e., power washers, power blowers, motorized sweepers, etc.
- Performs first-echelon equipment maintenance.
- Maintains parking lots (trash pick-up, clean-up of oil spills, etc.).
- Will assist in exterior projects such as the outside maintenance, and outside maintenance of other Tribal enterprises as directed.
- Maintain the physical property and furnishings in a manner consistent with that of a luxury resort.
- Clean and rake surfaces throughout the resort.
- Maintain landscaping tools in good condition.
- Plant new plants and cacti, trim plants and trees without harm to their life
- Replace or repair irrigation pipes and lines.
- Remove and relocate plants and landscaping material and complete all assigned work in a safe and complete fashion.
- Use all safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
- An extensive background check will be conducted.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be 21 or older.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have one (1) year of experience working in a landscaping environment.
