ENTERPRISE: WCR WE-KO-PA CASINO RESORT JOB TITLE: RESORT HOUSEKEEPING EVS MANAGERDEPARTMENT NAME: EVS/ RESORT HOUSEKEEPINGREPORTS TO: WCR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY SALARY: DOE POSITION STATUS: REGULAR FULL-TIME, FLSA EXEMPTHOURS PER WEEK: 40POSITION DESCRIPTION:Oversees and manages the operations and activities of the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort Hotel Housekeeping Department and the Casino Environmental Services Department. This position involves strategic planning, personnel management, budgeting, compliance with environmental regulations, and ensuring a safe and sustainable environment. Must know, implement, and adhere to the hospitality standards as dictated by AAA and the service culture of the We-Ko-Pa Way for both departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Supervise, mentor, and lead the hotel housekeeping and environmental services team, ensuring effective communication, performance evaluations, training, and development. Assigns tasks and projects, sets performance goals, and provides guidance to the supervisory team members to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Develop and manage the departmental budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficient resource allocation. Seek out cost-effective solutions with equipment, supplies, and service providers by cross-utilizing in both departments. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to achieve cost-effective solutions. Prepare and submit regular reports on departmental activities, accomplishments, and performance indicators to the department director and regulatory agencies as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supervisory and team member performance. Ensure a safe environment for guests and team members and inspect floors for possible slip and fall hazards in the building. Responsible for developing, training, and ensuring sound safety practices are followed. Responsible for setting standards and guidelines for the proper handling of various chemicals and ensuring that the highest standards are adhered to. Review and approve payroll. Performs other related duties as required.SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other safety agencies. Must have excellent written and verbal skills to maintain a high level of communication throughout the Hotel and Casino Operations. Must have extensive knowledge of Hotel, F&B, and Casino cleaning processes and equipment. Displays strong management and leadership skills consistently. Maintain a strong working relationship with peers in 11 other departments of the operation. Provide the proper coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when appropriate. Ability to work under pressure, under their own initiative, and make key decisions. Analyze data and trends to enhance the department's performance. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred. Must have a minimum of Seven (7) years managing Hotel and/or Environmental Services. Must have a current Arizona Driver's license and meet FME insurance standards. Must be willing to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive background check to obtain a state gaming class III license.WORK CONDITIONS:Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.Walk, bend, climb 60-70% of workday.Eye/hand coordination 70-100% of the workday.INDIAN PREFERENCE:Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes.
