Job Description:

The USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Resource Employee to work a project analyzing racial equity for the City of Los Angeles. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.The USC Black Studies Initiative is working collaboratively with faculty on a grant from the City of Los Angeles. The resource employee will work directly with the principal investigator of the grant to support with both data collection and data analysis. Specifically, the resource employee will support with administrative duties including the following:Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and prepare focus group meetings
  • Communication and outreach to the community
  • Administrative support to facilitate data collection and analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in project-oriented environment
  • Minimum 2 years work with community based organizations
  • Knowledge of Los Angeles
Hourly Range:The hourly rate range for this position is $20 - $25. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
