We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout various counties in California.

Compensation We Offer

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $24.10 - $29.64 per hour.
  • Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.
  • The salary may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.
  • 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, and select Peer Certifications.*
  • 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions.*

JOB SUMMARY

Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. Recruits, assesses, determines eligibility and agency fit, and certifies qualified resource families for the Foster Care and Adoptions program within assigned geographic area. Independently conducts home studies, initial case management and final walk-through for prospective families. Conducts Pre-certification training.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Conducts orientations, office visits, and other meetings with applicants.
  • Conducts resource family training, including pre-certification, re-certification and completes all required training documentation.
  • Independently conducts and writes home studies.
  • Determines if a family is appropriate for certification as a resource family.
  • Develops and creates family development plans.
  • Identifies family needs regarding additional training or support services to be successful resource parents.
  • Conducts final walk-through and certification of resource families.
  • Completes administrative tasks related to the certification process.
  • Participates in weekly placement meetings.
  • Collaborates and communicates with placement and treatment teams, youth, prospective, new and current foster parents, and co-workers.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, may vary dependent on site and programmatic needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Master's degree (M.S.) in Social Work (MSW) preferred; or MA/MS in a Social Science such as Psychology or a Health Service related field.

    • One (1) year of experience in a Mental Health or a Foster Care setting.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are preferred.
