**Group Summary**

**Job Summary**
Works independently to ensure level production schedules. Interprets and analyzes customer requests and capacity issues including availability of workforce, machines, time, and materials. Analyzes, develops, and monitors short-range customer sales and production forecasts. Develops and maintains production schedules and coordinates all necessary processes with corresponding departments. Measures actual progress based on customer requirements and reports significant deviations. Identifies, establishes, and maintains appropriate inventory levels. Monitors supplier delivery schedules to ensure material coverage in support of production schedules. Collaborates with Materials Planner and initiates corrective actions as required. Performs other duties as required which may involve providing work direction and/or supervision to other staff. After hours and weekend work may be required.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Ensures level production schedules based on customer requirements, management goals and objectives, availability of materials, capacity of equipment, etc. Contends with uneven customer demand and adjusts production schedules accordingly.
+ Interprets and analyzes customer requests and capacity issues. Analyzes short-range customer sales and production forecasts and provides input for long-range forecasts. Maintains all production schedules by ensuring proper utilization of resources (machines, time, people, and materials) including recommending appropriate levels of production staff and overtime. Develops all production schedules within particular area of responsibility using all applicable internal and external information. Coordinates all necessary processes with Receiving, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Customer Service Departments.
+ Based on customer requirements, monitors and measures progress in meeting all production forecast and schedule requirements. Reports significant deviations.
+ Identifies, establishes, maintains, and monitors appropriate inventory levels to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
+ Coordinates engineering change orders, phase in of new products, and discontinuation of old products while minimizing obsolete inventory. Monitors inventory records for respective area and ensures corrective action as needed.
+ Monitors supplier delivery schedules to ensure material coverage in support of production schedules.

+ Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to independently analyze data and determine appropriate course of action.
+ Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and changing priorities.
+ Good understanding of production inventory control techniques and principles. Knowledge and experience with a formal manufacturing control system and Just-In-Time (JIT) concepts, principles, and techniques strongly preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to utilize standard and specialized equipment used to perform job duties.
+ Bachelor's degree in business or related field
**Physical Requirements**
+ Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
+ Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
+ Must maintain proper vision requirements
