In addition to a competitive compensation, this position is also eligible for a sign-on bonus!SUMMARY: While delivering innovative solutions, exceptional service and trusted results, the Resource Room Attendant assists with the daily operations of the resource center. Provides assistance to customers using the resource center for job searches, Internet use, copying and faxing, and accessing assessment and development tools. Informs customers about WIOA orientation schedules, recruiting events, job orders and job leads, and upcoming events and services that are available to assist them with their job searches.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet clients as they enter the Resource Room and assess their immediate needs.
- Provide one-on-one assistance with resume job applications, and the navigation of career exploration tools.
- Educate clients on using computers, job search databases, labor market information, and other resources effectively.
- Offer basic training on email and online job application platforms, focusing on clients with minimal digital literacy.
- Develops and maintains a positive, professional, working relationships with Partner staff, mentor and colleagues; cooperation, flexibility, and support are expected at all times.
- Provides direct service to customers utilizing the resource center, including training and coaching on how to use the available resources.
- Monitors client usage on the internet.
- Inspects all computer equipment to ensure proper functionality. Completes a work order as necessary.
- Assists with completing inventories of all equipment in the resource center.
- Checks equipment and furnishings daily and cleans as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, individual must possess substantial customer service experience, and strong background in the delivery of employment/job search servicesEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management or other services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Has a working knowledge of basic computer skills and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and university in business, public administration behavioral science or related field or any combination of education and experience
- Energetic, resilient and outcome driven; ability to perform and maintain outcomes within a fast paced environment;
- Ability to interact courteously and professionally with customers, other employees, employers and community representatives;
- Ability to assist others in preparing written documents and utilizing computers to generate printed and emailed documents;
- Demonstrated knowledge of networking and e-mail communications systems;
- Ability to work well in stressful situations and to effectively manage customer concerns and complaints.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
