What will you be doing in your role?
- Research General and Utility resources and provide those resources to Case Managers.
- Serve as the disaster liaison for the agency.
- Review, process, and maintain accurate records of applications, supporting documentation, and pledges for utility assistance in a timely and organized manner.
- Stay up to date on Communal Funds and have current utility resources available to Case Managers.
- Provide relevant resource training and updates to Case Managers.
- Pivot from Utility & General Resource Specialist to Disaster Response when needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners by contacting each regularly.
- Provide Financial Assistance (FA) and connection to resources by assessing client needs and goals as well as coordination of services with internal and external resource providers.
- Keep all client communication and documentation current in online database system.
- Seamless provision of service is provided to Case Managers through effective coordination of community resources and partnerships.
- Foster an environment of shared accountability, proactive collaboration, and constructive communication to maintain a solution-focused mindset dedicated to meeting/exceeding expectations and addressing challenges in a proactive way.
- Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements, licensing requirements, and agency quality assurance standards.
- Effective collaboration with Community Care and Disaster Response partners, as well as CCFW Leadership.
- Meet your commitments including short- and long-term projects by effectively managing administrative tasks and prioritizing.
- Work collaboratively with program staff, peers, and agency leadership to support the overall goals of CCFW.
- Be flexible and adapt to other duties as assigned.
Are you the next Resource Specialist?
- Bachelor's degree in business, Social Work, or related field AND one year of experience
- OR a combination of practical, relevant work experience and some education in related field.
- Travel as needed to and from disaster sites as needed.
- Disaster Response experience preferred.
