About The Role:

A prestigious, international architecture and design practice that are known for pushing boundaries in the exhibition and experiential design sphere are seeking an experienced Resources Manager to support their New York team. Please note, this is a remote position, open to candidates based in New York, the East Coast and Central America.

Working closely with the Director of Operations, this role will collaborate with Project Managers, operations and HR and ensure projects are staffed to the correct levels at all times to aid successful and timely project delivery. To be successful in this role, you will require a thorough understanding of museum/exhibition design in addition to resource planning and staff allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact for project managers and leaders relating to staffing requirements
  • Strategically allocate resources, matching staff to projects based on their skillset, experience, and availability
  • Oversee studio-wide resource coordination to maximize staff utilization
  • Keep track of staff assignments and project scopes
  • Manage and resolve resourcing conflicts
  • Advise HR on necessary training for staff skill enhancement
  • Work closely with the staffing team to ensure seamless communication
  • Monitor staff workload, notifying HR and the wider team when at capacity or new hires are needed
  • Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process
  • Develop and improve processes for efficiency
  • Report weekly activities and staffing needs to the team

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Degree in Project Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Exhibit Design, Business Management, or a similar field
  • Previous experience in exhibition design or a related design field
  • Comprehensive understanding of project structuring within the design industry
  • Capable of both independent work and team collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Familiar with Smartsheet, or other project planning tools
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is advantageous
