First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be open to floating to other campuses. Patient volume/load includes 5 ventilators and 6-8 RVU's. Work setting experience required in ER, PICU, Adult ICU, and NICU. Respiratory care experience required includes airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, 02 Therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, bronchoscopes, nebulizer, BIPAP, CPAP, EKGs. Preferred experience includes high frequency oscillator and high-risk deliveries. Experience with Draeger and Servo I ventilators is required. EPIC skills are required. Candidates should call out if they do not have NRP certification. Scrubs can be of any color. All travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice if needed. In the event of a need to float, it is the traveler's responsibility to find transportation to the designated facility. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates must provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting. Modules are non-billable, with an average of 16 hours spent. Orientation includes 40 hours.
