In this role, you will assist in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety. Key Duties:
- Patient Support: Assist in the evaluation of patients' respiratory status by gathering vital signs and medical histories.
- Equipment Management: Set up, monitor, and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
- Therapy Assistance: Aid in the administration of respiratory therapies and treatments, following established protocols and physician orders.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on the proper use of respiratory equipment and techniques for managing respiratory conditions.
- Documentation: Record patient information, treatment procedures, and progress in medical records to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the respiratory therapy team and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency situations, providing immediate support as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control measures to ensure equipment and therapy standards are maintained.
