Position is available immediately and has flexible days/hours. The office is located in Hempstead, NY and the role reports to the program's Coordinator..Primary Purpose of Job:To provide time off for the caregiver of a home-bound elderly person.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:+ Participate in orientation and in-service workshops.+ Provide supervision and companionship on an individual basis to elderly persons.+ Assist care recipient with everyday routines such as eating, walking and light exercise.+ Submit records and time sheets on a timely basis.+ Report any problems which affect service to the Sr. Director or Program Coordinator.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate appropriately with elderly individuals.
